We live and work on Dena’ina land, on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula. We are partners, parents, writers, teachers, students, gardeners, foragers, adventurers, dog lovers, and generally curious people. Our son Matthew was born in 2019 and we are expecting a daughter in November of 2021.

Mollie is searching for a home for a creative nonfiction manuscript titled The Lowcountry. Several individual essays from the book have been published. Here are a couple that are available online:

“Of Love and Other Dogs” Newfound Vol. 6(2) (nominated for a Pushcart Prize)

“On Becoming a Birder” Newfound Vol. 8 (Spring 2017)

John is searching for a home for his travel essay collection, Refrigerators at the End of the Road, and he’s currently at work on a historical novel that uses the family saga to explore the impact of language and cultural loss in an immigrant community in northeast Minneapolis.
